Useful Information about Cambodia

The Kingdom of Cambodia is a Southeast Asian nation bordered by Vietnam to the east, Laos to the north, Thailand to the northwest, and the Gulf of Thailand to the southwest. While the Angkor Wat commemorates Cambodia’s glorious history, the country also has a destructive history of colonialism, the Indochina Wars, and the Khmer Rouge regime, and is today one of Asia’s poorest countries. However, the magnificent old world wonders and stunning natural scenery, as well as the charm and hospitality of the locals draw travellers to Cambodia every year.
Mondulkiri, or also know as “Mountain of Mandala”, is a province of Eastern Cambodia with Sen Monorom as the capital. Bordering the provinces of Kratié to the west, Stung Treng to the northwest, Ratanakiri to the north and the country of Vietnam to the east and south, it is the most sparsely populated province in the country despite being the largest in land area. Visitors will experience vast areas of natural beauty with forested green mountain areas, the famous Mondulkiri waterfalls and is the place of one of the largest remaining woodlands.
