Geography and Climate of Namibia

Geography and Climate of Namibia

Namibia, often characterised by its harsh desert conditions, is actually divided largely into five geographical areas. This means there is some diversity across regions and there is the possibility to see different natural spectacles and experience various climatic conditions. With that said, immense heat is definitely a typical occurrence and temperatures can soar as high as 40°C in summer times.

German and then South African colonisers held control of the country prior to this and many of the towns still demonstrate the intricate colonial architecture. Despite this, the multitude of ethnic groups across the country still hold closely onto ancient traditions and are famed for their relatively untouched culture and their unique beauty.
