Food, Lodging and Travel

Interns are responsible for paying/arranging their own accommodation during the internship, however, all of our interns usually book to stay at Ocean Nomads which offers a fixed rate of 20 Euros a night (April to Oct) for all our interns and 32 Euros a night (Nov to March), and offers a fantastic living experience for any marine biology student taking part in the course.  The hostel is also used as a Coworking spot which provides a haven for digital nomads, presenting beachside lodgings a mere stone’s throw (100 meters) away from the beautiful Playa De Los Tarajales. The establishment prioritises the needs of remote workers, boasting a shared kitchen and high-speed WiFi throughout the property, allowing seamless work and connectivity. Beyond work, the venue offers leisure amenities such as a terrace and a bar, perfect for relaxation after a productive day. For easy travel logistics, Tenerife South Airport is conveniently situated 17 km away.

Intern Requirements

  • Diving licence Open Water Diver (If you don’t have it, you can get certified here before start the programme for £300 GB pounds)
  • Own laptop with Word and Excel Software
  • Have an intermediate knowledge of both spoken and written English
  • Being Healthy and in good physical conditions
  • Medical statement might be required
  • At least 18 years old

Travel Information

We can pick up or drop off interns from Monday to Friday but is not always possible. If not possible on the day, from the airport, interns can grab a bus that will bring you to Los Cristianos in 30 minutes, or you can grab a taxi or uber (for around 30 euros).
