Overview
Work in Spain as a marine biology intern on the beautiful island of Tenerife, while learning to scuba dive or improving your dive skills. An ideal opportunity for University students to gain hands on marine biology experience.

Testimonial
“What I liked most about the internship was seeing the theory in practice. Alice told us all kinds of things about organisms living underwater one day and the next day we went diving and could see those same organisms with our own eyes. I find this a very pleasant way to learn new things.” – Evy Nieuwstraten

The Internship

Highlights
Interns will be deeply immersed in the world of diving and marine biology, and will come out of the experience as fully qualified and experienced marine biology divers. A great opportunity to share the internship with other students from all around the world and to discover the beautiful island of Tenerife in free time.

Location
The project is located at Los Cristianos, on the island of Tenerife, the largest of Spain’s Canary Islands. Playa Las Vistas is the main beach where diving activities are performed for those who want to start diving. The crystal-clear water, the gentle entrance and the breakwaters that separate the beach from the ocean make this place a natural confined pool suitable for every level of diving. Los Cristianos has a sub tropical climate with hot summers and very mild winters usually with year round sunshine.

Free Time
During your free time, the island offers a lot of different activities: Surfing, kayaking, trekking, and climbing. There are many places to explore, including heading to other islands by ferry or going to Teide, which is the volcano of Tenerife, the third largest volcano in the world and the highest mountain in Spain. In addition to these, there are countless beaches, mountains and forests to explore in free time too.
