Project Costs

Elephant in Laos jungle The cost for the 6 night/7 day volunteering programme (staying in a shared 4 person dorms with shared bathroom) is £615 or £735 in the Lakeside bungalows (with shared bathroom).  For families/groups, we offer the forest house for more privacy and for something more luxurious, we have a deluxe lodge upgrade available too. Pls enquire for prices.

The cost to join for the 2-day/1 night programme (staying in the lakeside bungalow) is £355, the 3-day/2 night programme (staying in the lakeside bungalow) is £420.  For the costs of staying in the family forest lodge and deluxe lodge, please ask.

Your payment covers all your food, drinking water and accommodation during the project, pick up and drop off in Luang Prabang, project training and supervision and WorkingAbroad Projects backup and placement support. Your airfare to and from Laos, tourist visa, travel/medical insurance and personal expenses are not included within this price. It is mandatory for you to take out travel and medical insurance for the duration of the project.

If you are planning to volunteer with a large group or as a family, you may be eligible for discounted rates.  Families of 4 people and more can benefit from a 15% discount if you come in the Lao Low season from May to September. Payment Terms

Jungle path in LaosTo secure your placement on the project, you will need to complete and submit the application form with your application payment of £195 (included in the total project costs listed above). If for some reason your application is not accepted, we will reimburse this payment fully. However, for those who are accepted, you will be required to pay the remaining balance 2 months before arrival. Once we have confirmed your place, you will receive an information package on the project background, your role as a volunteer, the work you will do, suggested items to bring, how to travel there and so on.

Project Dates

Please note that the 7 day programme starts on the first or third Monday of each month (April to September) and the first Monday of each month (October to March). We need a min. of 4 people to run the project, so please enquire before booking.

For the 2 and 3 day programmes, we have total flexibility throughout the month and you can start on any day.
