Volunteering Schedule & Free Time
You will be volunteering for 2 to 5 hours in the morning (usually from 9.30 am to 1 pm), which will leave you with plenty of free time to go explore, take a stroll around your surroundings, catch the most important sites, interact with the locals or simply go and relax! And of course, you will have your weekends off as well.
During the Monday orientation, the coordinator gives volunteers tips and recommendations on places to visit. They also offer add on organised activities and responsible tourism experiences, including watersports, hiking in Montserrat, food tasting, as well as Spanish classes and the opportunity to volunteer with other social organisations if you want. Our local coordinators team will give volunteers the best local tips.
Spanish Lessons
If you wanted to add on any Spanish lessons for example, it can range from intensive 2 hours a day, to less intensive 2 hours a week – lessons will either take place in your hostel or in a local language centre, depending on schedule. Please enquire and we can advise on costs/options.
