The above cost includes the whole 6 day itinerary and programme working alongside the team of marine biologists and researchers, who will teach you and your kids all about sea turtles and coastal conservation, and enable you to get hands on and helping out with their turtle conservation activities – and it also includes transportation to and from the nesting beaches, educational presentations, research equipment for surveys, fins/flippers and life jackets too.  A lot of families include this as part of their holiday – so they arrange their own self catered lodging and make their own meals there and then join in these activities each day for 6 days.

Families will need to book their own accommodation/arrange food and book flight/travel to/from Kefalonia.

It is mandatory for families to take out travel/medical insurance for the duration of your stay.

Payment Terms & How to Apply

Family of four in Argostoli harbourTo book your family sea turtle volunteer programme in Greece, one adult will need to fill out the application form on behalf of the whole family under APPLY NOW – please provide full names and DOBs for the other family members in the motivation letter section.  You will be directed to our Greece Sea turtle programme application form – so please only select your family dates and proceed.

The payment is split into a downpayment which secures your family booking and the balance payment which is due in 2 installments.  We are also happy to arrange payment plans if need be – please enquire.

Downpayment to secure your family booking:
The downpayment to book your family depends on adult/child numbers –  please email here victoria.mcneil@workingabroad.com and we can confirm downpayment for different family configurations and send you the secure payment link to secure your family booking.

If for some reason, your family application is not accepted/or if we are fully booked, we would reimburse your application payment fully. Once your family place is confirmed on the programme, you will receive further detailed information and suggested items to bring, info on Kefalonia and things to do in free time and so on.

Balance payment:
For families who are accepted and booked in, the downpayment is deducted from the balance payment, and 50% of the balance payment is due by 1st February and the other 50% is due by 1st June of the year in which you are booking.  If you apply with under 2 months notice, the full payment is due in full upon confirmation.
