My medical elective in Pokhara Nepal was an excellent learning experience. The homestay was a wonderfully kind and welcoming family and very well situated close to the hospital. I spent time in the emergency department where I got a much greater understanding of the medical systems in Nepal, allowing me to make great comparisons in the level of global health. The doctors were kind and open and it was a privilege to see such a variety of cases and treatment plans. I also got to spend time in the outpatients helping with taking observations, feeling like part of the time. I am very appreciative for the time I got to spend here.

The host family were extremely welcoming and made me feel as if I became a part of the family despite the language barrier. I was included in all family events and was spoiled. I would definitely recommend volunteering in Nepal, an experience I will never forget.

That was my second volunteering experience after India. The hosts were also very helpful and I felt safe at all times. They often gave me a lift by bike to city attractions, and whenever I wanted to go in my spare time. The house facilities were very good and more then I expected.

I had the most amazing time volunteering in Nepal. I loved every minute and I would go back tomorrow if I could! It was the best experience of my life and I am so happy I got the opportunity to do it. The work the project does is incredible and clearly has such a great impact on Nepal and it was a privilege to be part of it. The work I did was so rewarding and made me feel very humble. I want to say a massive thank you to you and all of the team because you are all fantastic! Phil made my experience absolutely incredibly and arranged all of my trips that I went of which were fantastic. Razu was so friendly and made me feel so welcome in Nepal and really helped me settle in well. Thank you all so much and I hope to return to volunteer in the near future.
