Project Costs

To join as a volunteer, there is a one-off £195 GB pounds application payment, and then once your place has been confirmed on the programme, you will be asked to make a deposit of £175-£200 (4-8 weeks) (of which £150 will be returned to you at the successful completion of your internship) – and £25-£50 of this will be retained for deep cleaning the accommodation facilities (£25 per 4 weeks charge) (but if you leave early/don’t complete your internship, your deposit will not be returned).

It is mandatory for you to take out medical/accident insurance for the duration of your time on the programme.

Payment Terms

To secure your placement on the project, you will need to complete and submit the application form with your application payment of £195. We will also organise a Whatsapp interview too.  If for some reason your application is not accepted, we will reimburse this payment fully. However, for those who are accepted, you will need to make a deposit payment of £175-£200 GB pounds (depending on duration) of which £150 will be returned to you at the successful completion of your internship (if you leave early/don’t complete your internship, this will not be returned).

Once we have confirmed your place, the Volunteer Coordinator will then communicate with you regarding suggested packing items, how to travel there and guide you up until you have departed for your flight to Toronto and so on.

The project typically requires at least four (4) consecutive weeks of volunteer service. During the months of May and June, however, we ask for a minimum of eight (8) consecutive weeks of service, as these are our busiest time periods for the rehabilitation of orphaned animals. You can come for up to 3 months if you wish!
