Project Costs

The cost for the main volunteer programme for 1 week is £395, 2 weeks is £560, 3 weeks is £625, 4 weeks is £725, 5 weeks is £795, 6 weeks is £895, 8 weeks is £1045 and 12 weeks is £1395. The cost for the 5-day family volunteer experience is £390 per adult and £200 per child under 12. The TVL Group programme price is £670 per person for 2 weeks. This covers all programme costs, including all food (3 meals a day), lodging in cabins that are shared with other volunteers and researchers, project materials, all training and supervision by project managers, and WorkingAbroad Projects backup and placement support.

Your airfare to Ecuador, travel/medical insurance and personal expenses are not included in this price. It is mandatory for you to take out travel and medical insurance for the duration of the project. Airport pick up and transfer to a hostel/central Quito, as well as travel from Quito to the Biological Reserve are not included in the above price, however, this can be arranged for you if you wish, or you can make the arrangements independently. Payment Terms

To secure a placement on this volunteer project in Ecuador, please complete and submit the online application form and your application payment of £195 (included in the total project costs listed above). If for some reason, your application is not accepted, we will reimburse this payment fully. However, for those who are accepted, the remaining balance needs to be paid one month before departure. Once you have been accepted on the programme, you will receive a pre-departure package with all detailed information on your project, Ecuador, suggested items to bring and so on.

Project Dates

Volunteers can stay for 1-12 weeks, families for 5 days and up. Longer stays over 3 months require a tourist visa. The TVL programme is flexible and can be tailored for groups of 5 or more. Start dates are flexible; we welcome volunteers any weekday throughout the year (Monday starts recommended). The reserve is closed on December 24th, 25th, 31st, and January 1st. If you’re at the reserve over the holidays, we can advise on trips to other Ecuadorian locations. We can also accept families with children & large groups for this project, please get in touch if you are interested.
